Electric Trucks More Popular

Global sales of electrically powered trucks are expected to grow tenfold over the next decade according to an American research group, Navigant. 31,000 electric vehicles were sold in 2016. They believe that will grow to 332,000 by 2026. The main incentive for this growth is stricter emissions targets being placed on commercial vehicles. It also expects governments to offer special incentives to encourage people from diesel powered to electric engines. The limitation of range will have an effect they add, saying  “The nature of the technology means that it only makes sense for fleet vehicles that can work with a limited daily range and ideally do a lot of stop-start driving.”
