CBC March After 5 Event
March 27 @ 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
This year CBC is trying something different. We have decided to hold some After 5 Events away from our usual venue, and give our members the opportunity to show others what they do. This month’s A5 event will be held at PCS Precision, where CBC’s Vice President, Peter Simonis, will show us around his factory.
Learn More About PCS Precision Facilities
Presented by Peter Simonis – PCS Precision
PCS Precision was founded by Peter Simonis in 1982 and after rapid growth moved to its current site in 1993. Going from a single factory unit to three units to the 200 square metre two-storey building. The Daniel Street facility was purpose-built for his weighing equipment business which specialises in selling, servicing and repairing all kinds of weighing instruments – from small desktop scales to transport weighbridges.
PCS Precision has continually evolved. They acquired a weigh bridge company which enabled them to install and service weigh bridges. A major breakthrough was the construction of their controlled environment facility. This purpose-built building is the only one of its kind in Sydney. It has a constantly controlled temperature which is necessary for testing and servicing of temperature based instruments. This $300,000 investment has taken the company to a new level of technology for their industry.
At our After 5 evening you will get a chance to walk through the original facility and visit the new state of the art climate controlled building.
Peter said whereas competitors specialise in one area, his company is the most versatile in the industry as it has expertise in all types: temperature, vacuum and pressure equipment.
PCS Precision has become the largest privately owned service provider to the weighing industry in Sydney and Peter’s technicians cover a region from Sydney to the Central Coast to Blayney.
