A well known investor from California’s Silicon Valley who has operations in 100 countries around the world has criticised Australian business for its low appetite for risk. Adeo Ressi says start-up businesses are leaving Australia because there is little available venture capital and our market place is so small. He says Australia lacks a thriving venture capital market. The solution, he adds, is for government to invest more in education and to foster venture capital. He says in the United States start-ups are generating trillions of dollars.
